Swimming at Point England Beach is something Gordon and Malae did often. This time was different… While swimming at night, the sea black as a shadow, the sky foggy and mysterious, the water smooth and dead quiet, Malae and Gordon saw something they will never forget. We saw a big black hairy monster wil me and Malae swim away we did get away Fast enough. Malae said to me Slow down Gordon I'm not a fast swimmer. Ok i will slow down for you malae the monsters gonna get you.

The broken flower  pot.
Katie kicked the ball to Joe put the ball went to Sally garden. They heard a crash. They run to the fence and they saw Sally flower pot crash. Mum came out said Katie, said I am sorry mum I broke sally flower pot. You have to make a new one for her. Joe painted the old pot with  blue colour. Katie said the old pot looks good, but I can make it look better. I will paint some yellow flowers on the pot. Mum said, you are very clever we will let the pot dry in the sun.  We can plant sally’s flowers again said Joe. Sally came back home and Joe and Katie gave her new flower pot. Sally said I love it thank you Joe and katie.

I'm learning Equivalent Fractions .

WE have be learning about Equivalent Fractions . We made fractions from shapes, photographed it and inserted it into our document. I learnt that 1/2 = 2/4, and 1/3 = 2/6.
It was fun making Equivalent Fractions with shapes.

hailstone

hailstones in the park.
I carried my heavy nephew ran to the park in a sweaty rush.  when I arrived there I felt a lot of little hailstones bouncing of my head ... we had no shelter at the park so
we hunkered  under the slide. The hailstones got bigger and crashed onto slide and  the  dogs were terrified .  The high winds and the smattering rain built into the worst storm ever.  The rain fell mercilessly,
The trees swayed and they creaked and they bent and moaned as their branches  are ripped away and their leaves became confetti in the storm

.

finally we got some shelter.

Hi I am a boy who is nine years old.  My name is Gordon.  I live in the quiet suburb of Glen Innes, in Auckland, New Zealand.  I go to the cool school in our area called Glen innes School.   I am proud of my   green and black uniform and wear it daily to school.

I have brown eyes, and back.,hair.  Sometimes I colour my hair  .

The things I like doing at school is going swimming everyday.  It is so cool.   I also love writing and updating my blog every week. It is cool to see so many people from all over the world reading my writing.

Like all the students in my class, I like food.  I enjoy eating at Mcdonald’s and my favourite is hamburgers.

I have many friends at school too.  In school we get together to play.  I pass out the tennis rackets and ball to play tennis.  I love playing with my best friend, Anthony.   Sometime we get together after school for a game of rugby.

Glen Innes is a cool  place to be in.

All My Great Excuses

by Kenn Nesbitt

I started on my homework,
but my pen ran out of ink…
My hamster ate my homework…
My computer’s on the blink…
I tripped and dropped my homework
in the soup my mom was cooking…
My brother flushed it down the toilet
when I wasn’t looking…
My mother ran my homework
through the washer and the dryer…
An airplane crashed into our house…
My homework caught on fire…
Tornadoes blew my notes away…
Volcanoes rocked our town…
My books were taken hostage
by an evil killer clown…
Some aliens abducted me…
I had a shark attack…
A pirate swiped my homework
and refused to give it back…
I worked on these excuses
so darned long my teacher said,
“I think you’ll find it’s easier
to do the work instead.”
